[Abdimas] Training on Relevant Costs to Increase Profits of MSMEs in Cimahi, West Java

This community service was carried out by the Community Service team which is part of the Finance and Accounting Studies Research Group, Faculty of Economics and Business, Telkom University, consisting of Dr. Leny Suzan, S.E., M.Si, CIFM as chairman and its members namely Muhamad Muslih, SE, MM, CSRA, MOS. This activity was held on November 16, 2023 in Cimahi, West Java, with the target community being Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Cimahi city area.

One of the obstacles faced by MSMEs is charging all production costs using the traditional method, which means that all operational costs or costs in producing a product are fully charged to the product. In fact, referring to the nature of costs themselves, costs are divided into three, namely fixed costs, variable costs, and mixed costs.

With the limited financial knowledge of MSMEs, participants were given in-depth understanding and training in the use of relevant costs for MSEs, including how to identify activities and costs when MSEs have more than one (1) product produced.

With this condition, the community service team of the Faculty of Economics and Business Telkom University (Financial and Accounting Studies expertise group) held an activity aimed at MSMEs in the Cimahi area. The activity focused on how to analyze relevant costs in order to increase profits, for MSEs in Cimahi, West Java and surrounding areas.
