ISCLO 2018: Facing Industry 4.0 Disruption Through Technology-Based Economic Contribution

Bandung, Telkom University – Telkom University’s School of Economics and Business (SEB) on Wednesday, (4/7) held another International Seminar which is routinely held every year. The International Seminar Conference on Learning Organization (ISCLO 6th) 2018 was its sixth debut in recent years.

The seminar, which was held at El Royale Hotel, Bandung City, discussed various current research topics from various disciplines such as Economics, Finance Accounting, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Business Strategic, Information Technology, CRM, Operations, Human Resources Industrial Organization, Knowledge Management, and Strategic Management.

The theme of this seminar is Leading Organization Based on Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation. The seminar was inaugurated by the Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Ir. Mochamad Ashari, M.Eng., Ph.D, accompanied by the Dean of FEB, Ir. Dodie Tricahyono, MM, Ph.D and Chairman of ISCLO 2018, Dr. Arif Partono Prasetio, M.M..

In his speech, Ashari said that all sectors need to be ready to face the industrial revolution 4.0. “As we know, currently technological disruption is increasingly widespread, not only in the transportation sector that is transforming online, media digitalization, but education is not free from disruption. The question is, are we ready to face industry 4.0? That is what we will discuss at this conference, we focus on how each sector can contribute to helping the Indonesian economy. Of course based on technology.” he said.

The organization of ISCLO 2018 is expected to add insight and increase knowledge capacity. The scientific research that will be discussed at the conference can enrich references for academics and practitioners. It is believed that ISCLO 2018 activities can encourage further research and scientific work that is more weighty and useful.

In addition to the many interesting topics presented by researchers, the seminar was attended by practitioners and academics from Indonesia, China, and Canada. Ulf Henning Richter, Associate Professor of Global Business and Strategy, Tongji University, China; Maria Gloria Gonzales Morales Ph.D, Associate Professor Research Director of the Occupational Health and Positive Psychology Lab (OHPP LAB), University of Guelph, Canada; dan yang terakhir adalah Mu’min Santoso – Co-founder Managing Partner of Ilone Network (RACK Digital, Mothers on Mission, The Hatch), Indonesia.
