Merging of Business Administration Bachelor and Master Program to SEB Telkom University
Telkom University, June 7, 2024 – In a move that marks a new era in higher education in Indonesia, Telkom University has officially merged the S1 and S2 Business Administration study programs into the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). The ceremonial event, which was attended by Telkom University Rector, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, Dean of FEB, Dr. Ratri Wahyuningtyas, and Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Social Sciences (FKS), Ade Irma Susanti, Ph.D., was not only a celebration, but also a reflection on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
The S1 Business Administration Study Program and the S2 Business Administration Study Program, previously under the Faculty of Communication & Business, have long been known for their commitment to preparing experts in the field of contemporary business management. With this merger, it is expected that there will be an improvement in the quality of education and research, as well as expanding opportunities for students to interact and collaborate with various related disciplines.
Thus, the Faculty of Economics and Business Telkom University now officially has 9 study programs, including Master of Management, Master of Management PJJ, Master of Accounting, Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of MBTI, Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Leisure Management, Bachelor of Digital Business, and Bachelor of Business Administration.
A Challenges Recognized with Optimism
This merger brought significant challenges for the Faculty. Curriculum integration, adjustments to teaching methods, and resource management are some of the obstacles that must be overcome. However, with a collaborative spirit and commitment to innovation, FEB is ready to face this challenge. The Dean of FEB stated, “We realize that this process requires hard work and dedication, but we are confident that the end result will enrich our students’ learning experience.”
