In facing today’s competitive era, the success of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is not only determined by the products or services offered, but also by proper financial management. Basic financial training is an important step in improving the capacity of MSME players to manage their business finances effectively and sustainably, and this is no exception for MSME players in the Rumah Hasanah Bandung environment.
This training involved an experienced speaker in the field of finance who is also a lecturer in the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Telkom University, Mr. Aldi Akbar, A.T., M.M. The material presented during the training was related to cash flow preparation (basic concepts, preparation techniques, application in daily financial monitoring), capital structure planning (concepts, strategies, the relationship between capital structure and business sustainability), cost pricing (basic concepts, cost pricing methods, cost pricing adjustments based on business variables), and simple financial statement preparation (types of financial statements, introduction to financial statement preparation tools or applications, financial statement evaluation).
This training is an important first step for MSME actors in the Rumah Hasanah environment in understanding how money and other financial resources are managed in a business. This understanding helps MSME players to manage their businesses more effectively and efficiently. To achieve this, during the training, participants are not only encouraged to understand the theory behind the above materials, but also to practice directly in simulations that resemble real-life situations. This approach is used to help participants more easily apply the knowledge they have gained after the training ends, particularly in making financial decisions to avoid losses and even fraud. In addition, participants can also learn from each other to solve the cases presented. It is hoped that this will strengthen a more solid and collaborative business ecosystem, so that MSME players in the Rumah Hasanah environment become accustomed to managing their finances in a more professional and efficient manner, and are able to contribute to the regional economy.
The long-term benefits of participating in this training are that MSME players are expected to be able to manage their business finances better, improve business sustainability, and make better use of various business development opportunities. In addition, they will also be able to prepare their businesses for the next stage, such as expansion or broader marketing. With adequate knowledge, they will not only be able to manage their businesses more professionally, but also open up opportunities to grow and compete in an increasingly competitive market.
