Stanford dan Elsevier have just released Top 2% Scientist Rankings worldwide (September 16, 2024, DOI: 10.17632/btchxktzyw.7), in which scientists are classified into 22 fields of science and 174 sub-fields in accordance with the standard classification Science-Metrix. The career-long data is updated to the end of 2023, and the latest year’s data includes citations received during calendar year 2023. Selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or 2% percentile rank or above in the sub-field, with this latest version based on the Scopus snapshot dated August 1, 2024.
