Bandung \u2013 Saturday, May 3, 2025<\/strong> \u2014 At the campus of SMA Unggulan Darul Hikam, Jl. Jakarta No. 34 Bandung, a team of lecturers from the Business Administration Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Telkom University held a community service program titled \u201cEntrepreneurship for Future Leaders: Building Mindsets and Designing Business Models for Darul Hikam High School Students.\u201d<\/strong> This program targeted high school students as the young generation and future leaders of the nation who need to be equipped with an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative skills.<\/p>\n

Initiated by three lecturers from the Business Administration Study Program, FEB Telkom University \u2014 Anita Silvianita, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Dematria Pringgabayu, S.AP., M.M., and Herdiansyah Gustira Pramudia Suryono, S.T., M.E.<\/strong> \u2014 this program represents a tangible contribution from academia in addressing the challenges of today\u2019s education world, particularly in preparing young generations to face the era of disruption and global economic uncertainty.<\/p>\n

Darul Hikam<\/strong>, as a leading Islamic educational institution that integrates national, religious, and international curricula, is renowned for shaping students with strong character and outstanding achievements. However, in today\u2019s increasingly competitive professional world, the need to instill an entrepreneurial mindset<\/strong> has become urgent. This became the background for designing this one-day training that combines both practical application and in-depth theoretical learning.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe designed this training not only to deliver theories of entrepreneurship but also to provide hands-on experience using an experiential learning approach through the Business Model Canvas (BMC)<\/strong>. It is important for students to not only understand the concept but also to be able to design and test their business ideas directly,\u201d said Anita Silvianita, Ph.D.<\/strong>, during the session.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Business Model Canvas (BMC)<\/strong> was chosen as the main tool because of its ability to simplify business concepts into nine core elements that are easy for beginners\u2014especially high school students\u2014to understand. Through interactive sessions, participants were guided to identify customer segments, design value propositions, and map revenue streams and cost structures strategically.<\/p>\n

Herdiansyah Gustira Pramudia Suryono, S.T., M.E.<\/strong> added,<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cOne of the main challenges for young entrepreneurs is the lack of readiness in managing risks and understanding the business value chain. With BMC, students can see the big picture of their business ideas from the start and develop more mature and sustainable strategies.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This activity also reflects Telkom University\u2019s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>, especially in the areas of quality education and inclusive economic growth. Beyond providing students with technical skills, the training also emphasized the importance of responsible business<\/strong>\u2014a business model that not only pursues profit but also considers social and environmental impacts.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThis training has opened my eyes to the world of business, which previously felt distant. Now I feel motivated to start designing my own business idea,\u201d said one of the enthusiastic student participants.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Through a collaborative approach between higher education and secondary education, this activity is expected to spark entrepreneurial spirit among SMA Darul Hikam students and serve as a model of synergy between educational institutions in preparing future generations who are excellent, innovative, and solution-oriented.<\/p>\n

At the end of the program, all students presented their business ideas in groups, mentored directly by the Telkom University lecturers. The enthusiastic atmosphere, fresh ideas, and eagerness to learn radiated from the participants\u2014showing that the future of entrepreneurship in Indonesia lies in the hands of highly potential young minds.<\/p>\n
