Growing a Competitive Credit Union

“Growing a Competitive Credit Union” is a theme of community service activities Collaboration between Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and Faculty of Applied Sciences (FIK) with funding from the Directorate of Research and Community Service (PPM) of Telkom University. The team was joined by Dr. Ratri Wahyuningtyas, Ganjar Mohamad Disastra S.E., M.M., and students. Activities conducted in the time span of November 2019 – June 2020 for credit unions in Bandung. The form of activities is the socialization of the utilization of information and communication technology that provides added value for credit unions through the use of Point of Sales (POS) software for business management. The background of this activity is still a lot of credit unions that in operational activities are still done manually by credit union’s administrators, such as written in writing, administration and simple recapitulation through Microsoft Excel by treasurer. This condition is unfortunate considering the fact that credit unions management can utilize information technology & communication to automate the recording and report generation, so as to simplify the process and reduce the potential errors that can occur. Therefore, the Community service activities are implemented to minimize the gaps that arise.
